This is the toughest guy I’ve ever known! 8 chemo treatments, 5 radiation treatments, and he’s still standing. My hero and Big Brother! Thanks to everyone who helped in his treatment and recovery! @MDAndersonNews @JulieAycock14 @wjoelayc @michelleaycock #BobbyAycock @bradaycock

2016 Ben Kruse 18 FORE Life Charity Golf Event
Shelly Francis (Kirby), former DHS volleyball standout, was the love offering speaker. She spoke from a caregiver’s perspective and shared the testimony of her and her late husband, Robert, and their fight against this dreaded disease. The passion, love, courage, strength, and incredible faith was obvious and vivid as she so courageously detailed the ups and downs of a cancer fight. Her spirit, faith, and ability to cherish each moment left the crowd in awe.
Shannon Cook gave the toast to Ben and told some amazing tales. His love for his friend shined through as everyone raised a glass in honor of the guy whose name is forever attached to this wonderful charity. Great job Cooky!
The auction was another success as it always seems to be, with Gary Rhine leading the way. Many great items were on hand and folks seemed to really enjoy donating and walking away with some nice furniture, jewelry, memorabilia, and other items. A large number of supporters played Heads or Tails in honor of Rick Carone.
The golf event was blessed with amazing weather and was a huge success. The course was packed and fun seemed to be had by all.  A 45 minute rain delay could not keep us from finishing on time and the party lasted well into the night.
