This is the toughest guy I’ve ever known! 8 chemo treatments, 5 radiation treatments, and he’s still standing. My hero and Big Brother! Thanks to everyone who helped in his treatment and recovery! @MDAndersonNews @JulieAycock14 @wjoelayc @michelleaycock #BobbyAycock @bradaycock

This Run’s 4 Vaughn
5K Walk & Run for a man that inspired
18 FORE Life rallied around local pastor Vaughn Wright and his battle with ALS in 2009. Participants signed up and walked or ran (or some of both) through the streets of Dexter. The 3 mile route begins and ends at the First Christian Church, where Wright inspired and led his congregation for 18 years. Money raised initially went to the Wright family. In 2011, Vaughn lost his fight with ALS. The run continues as a memorial to a beautiful man and money raised goes directly to area families fighting this awful disease. Given good weather, the streets of Dexter are full, great food is cooked at the church, and a bake sale consists of wonderful items to take home.
