The Ben Kruse Charity Crappie Tournament – 2013
More than just a golf tournament
The Ben Kruse Crappie Tournament began in 2011. Organizers knew of several people who didn’t golf, and wanted a way to become involved with 18 FORE Life. The inaugural event was a huge success and in just the second year, became one of the largest fishing tournaments ever held at Lake Wappapello with 59 boats entered. The fishing is always great, the food is amazing and the giveaways make this event a great time no one wants to miss out on. Much like the bowling event, many participants are passionate about the sport, while many others choose to make this the one time of the year they hit the water!
The 3rd Annual Ben Kruse Charity Crappie Tournament was held on Wappapello Lake on Saturday September 7th.  2013 was our largest turnout so far with 71 teams registering and is to date the largest crappie tournament ever held on Wappapello Lake.  We raised over $13,000 for the 18 Fore Life Charity!  We had a great crowd with lots of food and drink, raffles, games, silent auction items and presentation.  We’re already looking forward to 2014.  The event will be held on September 6th, 2014.  We’re hoping to have 90 teams and our goal is to raise $16,000.  We hope you join us!
