Tonight @DickieV Gala, we announced $24.8 million has been raised for pediatric cancer research in the past year! Millions of dollars were raised during the Gala tonight, including a $12 million gift from @MarkBPentecost and Cindy Pentecost. What a night!!
Today, 31 years ago, Jim Valvano passed away. We are taking today to honor him and his legacy. The mark he has left on all of us is irreplaceable. We thank him for his integrity, inspiration, and love.

Noreen Hyslop was written a beautiful eulogy for the Daily Statesman reflecting on Vaughn’s life in Dexter and the impact he had on our community. Noreen ends with these words that I’m sure expresses the thoughts of so many… “Indeed, it has been a privilege to have known Vaughn Wright. Rest in peace!”
