2015 Ben Kruse 18 FORE Life Charity Golf Event

June 5-6  of 2015 was another exciting weekend and a true throwdown in Dtown, with another Ben Kruse 18 FORE Life Charity Golf Event being the place to be.  Supporters from 21 states made their way to Dexter, MO to help raise money for families fighting cancer.

The Elk’s was hopping with excitement as Happy Hour began and the fellowship kicked into overdrive.  The opening remarks, Pastor Mike Williams prayer and an incredible meal from the Elk’s Lodge got the events off to a terrific start.

The Annual video and the story it told was another Home Run, showing off the talents of 18 FORE Life teammate and supporter David Robinson of October Skies Productions.  Misty Willems gave an amazing testimony chronicling a more than 8 year cancer battle of her son, Gaige.  The story gripped the crowd and epitomized everything a true hero stands for and embodies.  Vince Papale took the stage and wowed people with his true life and INVINCEable story!  His humor, passion, wit and tales had all 550 guests at the edge of their seat.  His willingness to hang out with the crowd, sign autographs, as well as participate in our golf event the next day added to an already special weekend of events.  Ryan Lancaster toasted his ole pal Ben Kruse and the party kicked into high gear.

The night rapped up with the annual auction, some fun pics in front of the 18 FORE Life picture board, as well as The BUZZ performance featuring Ben Christian, Nick Boemler, and others.  The party continued late in the night and a great time was had by all.

The golf tournament was a huge success and the weather was flawless!  Once again, the golf took a backseat to the comradery and good times out on the course.  Birdies FORE Breast Cancer, the girls of Beta Sigma, The PAR TEE Girls, Doug Cox and his cooking crew all added to the festivities.   The Champions were repeat winners as the team of Holden, Holden, Holden and Comfort successfully defended the NOT SO FAMOUS Tan Jackets.

Thanks to this incredible event, over $58,000.00 in love offerings was sent out in a single day, helping families fight and beat this dreaded disease.
