Business donations are always welcome and needed. We recognize businesses on the radio, in a newspaper thank you, as well as all over the course during the tournament. Businesses have given in a number of ways. EMCON, along with Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center, and The Bank of Advance purchased the tournament shirts last year, and had their name on the sleeve in return. Allen Christian purchased a great gift for every golfer this year. Missouri Farm Bureau helps pay for the meal following the day of golf. Wal-Mart has always given a matching grant of up to $1000. Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center also donated some pullovers to be given away as door prizes with the help of The Bank of Advance. Phil Ternis and Pizza Hut give a nice cooler to every golfer and also donate sodas and water for the course. Kohlfeld Distributing provides more adult beverages than we have ever been able to drink , along with some incredible door prizes. These generous businesses have found creative, helpful ways to make our tournament a very nice event. Many other local businesses give smaller amounts in the form of door prizes, hole sponsors, time and energy. We appreciate any amount and anything that anyone does to help us and recognize each of our sponsors. In 2005, KFVS did a story on our charity and that aired two times, plus giving us some promotion for the second year in a row with Business Break. Walt Turner and KDEX went overboard with the advertising and even did a broadcast from the golf course during the scramble. The Daily Statesman and other local papers reported on our event and advertised for us. All of this adds up to a partnership that is necessary to run a quality charity. Again, we thank all of our business sponsors for all they have done and continue to do to help.

Remember, your donation will go to a local family in need of help during a time of struggle. The Ben Kruse 18 FORE Life Foundation is a 501(c)(3) Public Charity and your donation is tax deductible.

Volunteers are welcome and used each year to run the tournament, organize, and raise money. We have a small army of helpers which has grown into a close-knit group. We all work hard, but have fun at the same time. No matter how small the task, our volunteers are special and appreciated.

Golfers are the heart and soul of our charity event. They seem to keep everything in perspective and understand why we are out there. 344 golfers participated last year in 100 degree weather. These 86 teams signed up in record time and a waiting list was formed, so make sure if you are interested in this year’s event to contact us and get a spot ASAP!
